who we are?

Léo et Violette is us, Léo Dominguez and Violette Polchi, two young Parisian lovers who have been sharing our lives for almost 10 years. We created this brand together in 2013, building on the success of our first Kickstarter project. Our aim has always remained the same: to offer elegant, timeless and functional products.

All of my products are designed in the UAE. I focus on finding the perfect balance of form, fragrance, and burn quality. Each candle begins as a sketch—a vision shaped by emotion and intention. From there, I source or create matching moulds and begin testing with carefully selected waxes and wicks to ensure a clean, even burn. Every detail, from design to scent, is considered to craft a candle that’s as beautiful as it is functional. Creation

The design then comes to life right here in our UAE workshop, using premium wax and carefully curated dye blends paired with phthalate-free fragrance oils. Each candle is meticulously hand-poured and undergoes multiple burn tests to ensure a perfect burn — crafted by hand, with heart. Production

A Year of Gifts and Growth In 2020, what began as a simple passion turned into a small home business — a way to share the calm and beauty I found in crafting with others. I started gifting these little handcrafted concrete planters to friends and family, each one a small piece of my heart. Soon, those who loved concrete's simple, natural elegance began to ask for their own. That’s when my passion truly found its purpose, and Amora began to grow. Passion to profession A Pause to Endure and Pray Then the pandemic arrived, and the world fell silent. I had to pause everything and simply hope — hope that we would make it through, and that God would bless us all to endure this tough time. A Time of Reflection and Hope A Journey of Creation and Heart I became a mother and embraced the joys of motherhood, but I longed for the creative spark I had nurtured before. I began exploring new possibilities in the world of concrete and how I could merge that with my love for fragrance. Through many sleepless nights, countless failures, and moments of frustration when I felt like giving up, Amora was born — a collection of artistic candles that reflect not only my craft, but my journey.
